HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

I know this wish is coming a bit late, but we had such a busy weekend, I thought better late than never. My sweet daughter made me this lovely mothers day gift at school. Her class also went strawberry picking, and then made strawberry jam and a delicious strawberry dessert glaze. The best part was the shortbread that the class made, and it was still warm when it arrived home in this beautiful hand decorated bag~~ my son and I proceeded to have some at once. It was so good, and by far my best present!!

Same Rubber Stamp, 3 different Cards~~~

Today I thought I would make some cards with this pretty spring stamp. By simply changing up the background colors of the paper, I achieved 3 different looks and they are all so nice, I cannot choose a favorite~ Which one do you like the best?

This card is so pretty and it was fun stamping them, and then I colored parts of it in with my watercolor pencils, and then used my aquapainter from Stampin Up to get that pretty watercolor look, without the trouble~

Isnt this flapper-type lady the best!!! What fashion sense the women had back then~~

Its Spring!!!! You know what that means~~

Where we live in southeastern, NC, april and early may means strawberries are ready for picking!!We look forward to this every spring. The weather is warm, but not too hot yet, and we spend the afternoon in the strawberry fields picking our little hearts out. One of the best parts is that the farm lets you eat all the berries you want while you pick for no charge. My daughter ends up eating more than whats in her bucket!
Enjoy the pictures~!

If only my house could be as neat and organized as a strawberry field. I can wish..

Theresa showing off one of her favorite strawberries.

here is one of me picking some... and wearing the totally wrong shoes. our dirt is like filthy sand, and it gets everywhere. I hate the feeling of dirt in my shoes. What was I thinking before I left the house??

showing off the bounty!

another strawberry break~ thank goodness they dont charge for how many you eat while you're picking ~ we would have had quite the bill.

Bob and Theresa clowning around in the berry field...

After we were done with all that picking, we stopped at the farms snack bar for some delicious homemade strawberry ice cream. Fresh berries are sooo good, you must get all you can while they are available! haha
