Hello everyone~ long time no see (on my part). Hope all has been well with you guys. Im here today to tell you what I did yesterday. In my small town we hold a wooden boat show each year. This was the 6th one, I believe. Its the second time I participated as a vendor. Everything you sell must be nautical in nature. Its a fun day, with about 30 vendors, kids boat making and a little pond they can float them on afterwards, a chowder cookoff, and of course plenty of beautiful handmade wooden boats on display.
I will show you a bit of what I was doing there yesterday. My booth is an ever growing/changing concept for me as I am always striving for that "perfect" display. It can be infuriating at times, but also fun to see how it comes out each time. To any of my new friends that I met at the boat show, welcome to my blog! To all my old faithful friends, glad to see ya~
Now for some photos~
This is me right before the show started. I am pleased with how the set up came out.
I make painted mason jars, and these were the debut of my new Coastal colors...
And these are my Shabby Chic colors... always popular.
Sea Glass necklaces in nautical themes. Oops, there is a bunny in the mix! How did he get in there?
These are some of the wooden boxes, trays, jewelry boxes, treasure boxes that I make. Can you tell Vintage is my thing?
And I have wooden guppies, made from reclaimed hardwoods. And my vintage canvases in 2 sizes.
If you see anything you wood like to purchase, please leave a comment, or contact me thru the email listed on the sidebar.
Many thanks for stopping by...

Neglected Blog
I have been a bad blogger of late! Most of the year. But I am still here, and still doing what I love. I have done a few craft shows this year since September, and I am about to do one on Saturday, up in Topsail Beach, North Carolina. Its in a wonderful little church, and it will be the third or fourth year Sharon and I are vendors in this show. I have cut back this year on my paper goods for the shows, as I find my jewelry and Mason Jars sell a lot better.
Some of my charm jewelry can be found in my Etsy Shop~ which now has a new name~~ Artful Fairy. If you scroll down a bit and look in my left hand sidebar, you can see whats for sale there, and click right on the link, and it will take you there! For the months of November and December, I will be donating all of the proceeds from my shop to an Orphan in Asia with Down Syndrome. So if you need a really cute gift for someone, please take a look. Your purchase will be helping a sweet little girl find her forever family.
For now, a peak of some of my Mason Jars. They are a shabby chic style, and people just love em!

Special Birthday Number Three!!
Here is a peak at a card I made for a special little girl who lives in Colorado. She is turning 3 and when kids are little, I often like to use their special number somewhere on the card. Its fun for them, and a card that may be one that goes into a special keepsake box, or perhaps a scrapbook page.
The cute paper with the pandas on it is from a kids paper pack I have had for a long while. I think it may be DCWV?
The number 3 is made with a PTI die out of scrap orange cardstock.
The sweet little asian girl is a stamp from Sister Stamps. Her name is Miyoko. I purchased this stamp at All That Scraps online store. I have shopped there for a long time, and have always been pleased.
Isnt she so cute holding a little birthday cupcake?
She is colored in with Copics, and cut out with Spellbinders oval dies.

OMG!! Could this be true??
Am I really able to post photos again?? Do all of you see this as I do?? Did this come about because my sweet friend Sharon came over and tried for forever to get my blog to post photos?? Because an art and craft blog is absolutely worthless without some pictures to show was was made~
Wait till I go and tell my Mama!! She will be so happy with me and Sharon!! And blogger!!
By the way, my name is Zoey Bella and I am the newest edition to the Forge family. I am a 4 month old Mal-shi, which means my dad is a Maltese and my Mom is a Shih Tzu. I am the little sister of Berklee, who joined the fanily 1 1/2 years ago.
See you soon!!

Having Trouble
Trying to keep my promise to blog frequently is already getting tough. For some reason, I cannot load any photos onto this blog! What is a craft blog, or almost any other type, without photos??
Can anyone help out there?

A NEW BEGINNING
Happy New Year to all my friends and followers. I hope this new year brings renewed hope and blessings beyond measure. I for one, am quite happy to see 2012 go away.
It was a very rough year for my family, as we had to say goodbye to a wonderful Man, my Dad. I know he is in a better place, and take solace in that, but we still miss him dearly. We laugh and talk about him all the time, which is great.
Quite honestly, I didnt feel like blogging much this fall. After what happened, I felt like what I had to say was silly and trivial. But with a new year, and renewed spirit, I am back. I hope to continue to bring you a little laugh, something pretty to look at, and maybe a tip or two.
Thanks for sticking with me, I appreciate it.

YARD SALE SATURDAY~ VINTAGE EDITION
Hey all~ back with another installation of yard sale saturday!
Here is what came home with me this week!!
Let me say that this one was both outside and in the house. I can usually find some older, vintagey stuff at these kind of sales. And this one was no exception~
First up, some old kids books from the mid 1950's. I just adore the illustrations in these old books! And I also like the sometimes scribbling I find from previous little owners~
A vintage brooch that looks like a snowflake.
Some beautiful ladies, and a little Dutch girl from Occupied Japan...
An old milk bottle and a tub of old buttons...
And lastly, a little girl cabinet card, and a new Batik journal in a pretty blue with turtles all over it. Living by the ocean as I do, and being that this community is vey active in saving the turtles and their nests, I am surprised that this journal wasnt snatched up the minute the doors were opened.
This sale combined 2 of my fav things, yard sales and vintage collectables! And everything you see here** a grand total of jusr under $11.00!!
This girl was in her glory!
