I WON~ I WON!!!

Last week in one of my groups, ETSY COTTAGE STYLE, they had a special 2 year birthday celebration with lots of games and contests for the members. I won this beautiful cupcake charm from Mimi!! She has got a great etsy shop called "Dandelion Wishes". You must go and check it out, there are so many pretty charms and other things for sale there! This is a photo of the back of my charm. My pictures came up in a different order than how I intended. Oh, well.
This is also a part of the prize~ all these M &M's!!!! Yipee!! The contest was to guess how many were in this jar! I guessed 738, and there were 737 in the jar. I cannot believe I came that close. I am typically not good in games like this, but see~you never know!

This is the pretty front of the charm necklace. An adorable cupcake. TT's birthday is monday, and she wants to wear it to school that day. Im sure it will look great, and so will she.
Have a wonderful weekend~

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO EVEYONE!!

Hope you all had a great Valentines Day yesterday. I have been trying to post these photos for awhile, but blogger is giving me fits. The first one is some candy strawberries that I made for my Husband. They are pretty easy to do and require no baking~ I used some cut up pipe cleaner for the stems. They are real sweet and delicious. He loved them, and good thing I took this photo when I did, as most are gone by now. This is a quick little card I put together for my daughter TT. Stamped in dark brown Momento Ink, and colored in with Copics. It remimded me of her and I, as we love to spend lots of time together.
This is one of 2 cards for my husband Bob. This card actually has hardly any stamping, except for the hearts on the inside . I used some shimmery white cardstock which I then embossed with my hearts Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The red heart is made from scrap paper from a Christmas stack, and all I did was punch the heart shape 6 times, glue them together with a glue stick, and attached it to a larger heart that I had punched out of a deeper red.

Since Bob is a serious Nascar fan, he found the sentiment quite amusing. He loved it!!

Although this card didnt have to be mailed, all you would have to do is fold down the layers of the heart, and it would fit very nicely into an envelope.

This was Bobs second card. I used a stamp from Unity Stamp Company, colored in with Copics. I added our initials onto that tree towards the left. The bottom was punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and the sentiment is an old rub on that I had in my Valentines stash.
We went out to dinner at Sticky Fingers and ate some delicious ribs to cap off another great day. Thanks for stopping by~~

HERB WITH TEACUP

Although its been unusually cold where I live several days this winter, this week has had temperatures nearing 70 degrees. So although winter is no where near done yet, I thought I had better post these two cards using Herb with Teacup by Whiff of Joy Stamps. Because I for one, am starting to look for those signs of spring which would put Herb away so he doesnt melt (heehee) till next winter.
Both cards are 5 1/4 " square and are mostly made with my scrap suppy, so I dont have the names of the papers. The flowers are Prima hydrangeas, the purple ribbon is Marthat Stewart, thick ric-rac is from Wrights. and the piece of lace is a vintage piece from my personal collection. And of course they are colored with my Copics. I am hoping to get into the certification class in Durham N.C. in June. Thats only about 2 1/2 hours from where I live.
In honor of Herb, go have a cup of tea if its cold where you live!!! Thanks for stopping by.

COMPANY FOR A FEW DAYS

We had some company from Thursday till this afternoon. My brother in law come down to North Carolina for a job interview. He will hear in about a week if he got the job. He said he seemed to do pretty well in the interview which lasted for 2 hours. Talk about a stressful situation. We then spent the remander of his time here showing him the different neighborhoods, schools, etc. Its fun to rediscover your own little place on earth. I discovered some areas I wasnt aware of. We also got to see several beautiful horse farms in the process.
Anyhow, I had no time to make something brand new, but here is a cute card made with C.C.Designs stamp set called Froggie and Friends. That set has many possibilities and I turn to it often. As you can see, I did not have my copics yet, so this was colored with Prismas. I like the look of the cuttlebug D'Vine swirls embossing folder sanded down to see the white core of the paper. I used a Fiskars border punch for the bottom and a Prima hydrangea for the flower. I used some of my scrap stash for the DP, so Im not sure what company its from. The inside has been left blank. Thanks for looking.

BEST FRIENDS~

Here I am still coloring (and loving!) my new copic markers!! This adorable stamp is from the great little company Eat Cake Graphics. Loving dogs as I do, I just thought this image was way too cute. Best friends sharing an ice cream cone. My paper is some leftover paper from last years Marcella by K line that was sold in Target. That is still one of my favorite groups of papers. This card is 5 1/4" square and has a coordinating hand made pink DP envelope. I have also used Martha Stewart valentine punch, may arts ribbin, and a couple of dew drops.

This one is made with DCWV papers, Martha Stewart doily punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder and Prima Hydrangeas with crystal centers. This card measures 4 by 6" and had a white envelope which has been embellished with stamping. Both cards are blank inside and therefore can be used for so many different occasions.

Here is a photo of the envelope I mentioned above. Both will be for sale in my etsy shop, which you can access from the sidebar on the left. Thanks for stopping by...
